Mom Took Playstation Away, So 11-Year-Old Boy Led Police On Second High-Speed Chase In 13 Months

A Cleveland boy led police on his second high-speed chase with police in 13 months, this time because his mother took away his PlayStation.

Brooklyn police in suburban Cleveland say the Cleveland boy took off in his mother’s 2013 Dodge Durango around 10:30 p.m. Sunday after she went to bed.

She later told police that she noticed her keys missing and later got a call from the boy’s father saying he saw the boy driving the SUV on West 117th Street and Memphis Avenue, according to police reports.

Police reports say officers began chasing the boy as he sped down a road the wrong way, running stop lights and reaching speeds of 70 to 90 mph. The chase ended about 30 minutes later when the boy crashed into a parked truck. He was treated for minor injuries and taken to a juvenile detention center.
