A young male lion, out exploring on his own, strays too far from home and finds himself surrounded by a clan of 20 fierce hyenas.
A clip from Dynasties from BBC Earth, a young lion named Red breaks away from the pride and wanders off his own. He’s quickly surrounded by a group of hyenas. The hyenas run at him and begin to nip at him, as the lion seems to twig that he’s out of his depth.
However, the lion doesn’t give up and starts fighting back against the hyenas, roaring at them and giving chase. He even manages to catch by the neck and give it a shake before letting it go. Gripping stuff. In the end is saved by the appearance of his pal Tatu.
