Most footballers would do anything they can to score a goal… especially at a major international competition. But this player from Uzbekistan took advantage of an injury to the Maldives goalkeeper and scored while she was lying on the ground during a 20-0 win in the AFC U19 Women’s Championship in Kyrgyzstan.
Uzbekistan’s third goal was scored by captain Laylo Shodieva, who was first to react when Maldives shot-stopper Ula Binth Ijlal fell to the floor at the Spartak Stadium, dropping the ball after making a save.
The referee gave the goal and Shodieva kissed the the badge on her shirt in celebration.
