But on October 6, the firefighter was left “heart-warmed” when a manager at his local Tesco supermarket in Great Horton, Bradford, stepped in to lend a compassionate hand.
With the 10-year-old always excited to visit his favourite shop, David was having trouble coaxing Jay away from behind a closed cash register after the young-man decided he wanted to work for the store that day.
