Woman Uses Moose Poop For Artwork

Somerville resident Mary Winchenbach has become an Internet sensation thanks to her unique artworks made from moose poop.

The 57-year-old Winchenbach says she has gotten requests from people all over the country to get the unusual items shipped to their homes.

She makes earrings, dangling people she calls “fecal people,” ornaments, and even what she calls is a “poo poo clock.”

Winchenbach says she collects the poop in her backyard in Somerville. Then, it is dried and painted with a coating to make it safe. “The turds are all local. We just go out and track the moose and wherever the Moose are there going to take a crap and I have found that when I moose takes a dump you walk about 50 yards in any direction and they take another dump,” she told WAVI.
