Lumberjack Steak is a very popular product from the Dutch Butcher shops. This recipe tastes so great and is so simple that you definitely have to give it a try.
Ingredients:
Pork shoulder steaks – 3 piece
Bacon strips – 1 pack
Herb mix ingredients ( for 8 pork steaks)
Jalapeno peppers – 2 pieces
Garlic bulb – a bunch
Dill – a bunch
Basil – a bunch
Rosemary – a bunch
Parsley – a bunch
Thyme – a bunch
Salt – 20 grams
Oregano – 1 tablespoon
Olive oil – 1/4 cup olive oil
Planning & Schedule:
00h55m – Start grill or barbecue
00h40m – Take the leaves of stalks and grind down the ingredients for the herbs mixture down to a puree
00h30m – Make sure you take of the bone from the pork chop and brush it with the rub mixture. Then wrap it in bacon
00h10m – Grill the steaks over a low heat direct fire for 4 minutes on each side
00h00m – Give the steak a rest and enjoy your meal
