Dr. Liang Fuqun, a surgeon at a hospital in Si County, Anhui Province, China, suffered from appendicitis pain while performing surgery in eastern China’s Anhui province.
Dr. Liang was reportedly enduring a stomachache on the morning, but brushed it off thinking it would eventually go away. As a precaution, the surgeon asked his supervisor, Dr. Shi, to accompany him through his surgeries for the day.
However, Liang suddenly experienced a sharp pain around his abdominal area while he was working on his third procedure. He decided to take pain-killing injections and continued. He finished eight surgeries before getting treatment himself.
