Stunning Timelapse Shows £450m Cruise Ship That Can Carry 3,300 Passengers

This astonishing timelapse shows the construction, piece by piece, of the 124,000 ton, 985ft long Aidaprima cruise ship.

Incredibly, the video was filmed over the course of five years, with the building work having started at the Mitsubishi shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan.

The ocean liner that can cater for 3,300 passengers, is the new flagship of German cruise operator Aida Cruises, and was christened on the River Elbe.

The timelapse starts with the foundations being set for the mammoth construction, and ends with the vessel sailing out into the water, complete with innovative paint design.
