A dog in New York came face-to-face with a defensive porcupine was surrendered to a local animal rescue so he could receive treatment.
The dog was rushed to Lollypop Farm Humane Society of Greater Rochester in New York, where a team removed the quills.
A spokesperson for the shelter said: ‘Ruckus was surrendered to Lollypop Farm so that he could receive treatment for the quills that were stuck into his jowls, face, and inside of his mouth.
Ruckus was given up for adoption by his family because it had become too expensive to care for him. He has since been adopted by another couple.
