Indonesian Woman Rescues Abandoned Cats

An Indonesian woman has become a saviour for 158 injured and abandoned cats and given them a new lease of life in her shelter.

Violetta Hasan Noor, 42, a paediatric psychologist from Pekanbaru in Riau province has 158 cats, including long hair Persian cats, in her shelter home named Violetta’s Rescue.

The shelter has a special room for Persian and long haired cats and blind and other cats who need special care are kept in a separate room.

Cats who have been sterile and given vaccines are placed outside where they can play freely.
