Doting granddaughter, Karli Willett, who is an aspiring singer, recorded her grandpa’s song after finding the lyrics, Mike Brook, 69, used to sing to her mum, Chera Willett, as a child.
Mike dreamt of joining the army when he was 21 but due to football injuries and loss of hearing in one ear, he was unable to serve his country.
After hearing about one man’s journey in Vietnam, Mike wrote a song which he would often sing to his children.
