The installment of a new Archpriest in Żebbuġ Gozo attracted more attention than other previous celebrations which were uploaded on the social media and has drawn a mixed reaction from the public.
Maltese social media is running high about the Gozitan parish priest who was led through the streets of the village in a parade. In a unusual 21st century confabulation of Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey, the priest did it standing up in a Porsche.
Some said they saw nothing wrong in it and the children seemed to be enjoying it and it was after all a game for them. However, some disagreed totally and said it was unjust and senseless that children tow a vehicle with a rope with the Archpriest in it.
