Armored Truck Spills Cash All Over New Jersey Highway

Money rained down on a New Jersey highway leading to several crashes as motorists stopped and scrambled to pick up the cash.

East Rutherford police received calls at 8:30 a.m. EST that the bullet-resistant truck was spilling cash along the 12-lane highway. The commotion caused multiple related crashes, police said.

Video shows drivers exiting their cars to collect the money, which authorities say led to multiple motor vehicle accidents.

It is unknown how much money ended up on the roadway or if those who collected it will be allowed to keep it. Authorities were seeking videos of the incident, to track down both those who possibly stole cash and people involved in the accidents.
